Gov. Villlafuerte places CamSur under red alert status amid LPA threat

Camarines Sur Governor Miguel Villafuerte has placed the province under the red alert status amid the low pressure area threatening to affect Bicol Region.
Villafuerte issued advisory yerterday afternoon alerting all the local government executive to be prepared.
“Effective 5PM today, 18 Jan 2019, the PDRRM OpCen is on Red Alert Status in view of the LPA (Pre-AMANG) that will affect the Bicol Region in the next few days,” Villafuerte’s order read.
The governor instructed the mayors to monitor closely their respective jurisdictions.
“In anticipation of potential risks & any untoward events that may occur, please monitor closely you respective AOR. Implement preparedness measures for floods , landslides and other potential hazards,” the order read.
“Please prepare your evacuation centers for pre-emptive/forced evacuation.”
Villafuerte also told the mayors to activate their operation centers.
“Further, activate your OpCen & put on standby alert your response teams for monitoring & prompt response,” he said.
The CamSur was placed under state of calamity early this month amid the flooding and landslides incidents caused by tropical depression Usman.
