More than 6,800 senior citizens in Palawan have benefited from the Local Social Pension Program for Indigent Senior Citizens of the provincial government last year.
The Local Social Pension Program for Indigent Senior Citizens is under the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO).
Aside from receiving P250 every month as part of the local social pension, the indigent senior citizens have been the beneficiaries of various programs of the provincial government such as financial aid and medical services.
The Local Social Pension Program for Indigent Senior Citizens was established pursuant to the Expanded Senior Citizens Act of 2010.
