New Ako Bicol solon vows to continue advocacies for constituents

MANILA – Newly-sworn Ako Bicol Partylist Rep. Ronald Ang vowed to continue the advocacies of their group amidst the ill-fated murder of Rep. Rodel Batocabe last month.
Ang said although the circumstances are indeed sorrowful following the brutal assassination of Batocabe last December 22, he said that the Ako Bicol remains committed “to continue, without interruption,” the programs and services, policies and advocacies of their partylist and bearing in mind the primordial interest of our constituency.
Ang, the fourth nominee of Ako Bicol was House Speaker Gloria Macapagal Arroyo as a new representative of their partylist group last Wednesday.
Prior to his appointment, Ang previously worked as congressional staff under former Senator Francisco Tatad and the late former Senate President Edgardo Angara from 1995 to 2008.
As a lawyer, Ang’s diverse practice includes development, environment, tourism and energy laws.
Ako Bicol Partylist topped the partylist election during the 2016 elections and was able to secure three seats in the lower house.
