Albay Capitol holds relief operations in Tiwi town for Usman-hit families


The Albay Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWD) will hold today a relief operation in Tiwi — one of the arras severely hit by tropical depression Usman.

The office, spearheaded by OIC PSWDO Eva Grageda, has coordinated with Tiwi town through Mayor Jaime Villanueva for the relief operation

“This relief Operation is part of the rehabilitation and recovery initiatives of our Administration,” said the provincial government.

“Aside from the Relief Operation, there will also be free hot meals to be served along with the Medical, Dental and Optical Mission where assistive device such as eyeglasses and wheelchair will be distributed,” it added

Expected to attend the relief operations are volunteer members of Provincial Youth Development Office, other private groups/individuals.

The team from Capitol has bee divided into 3 Teams for a simultaneous activities:

Team 1 – for Bariis, Joroan, Mayong, Maynonong and Dapdap

Team 2 – for Sogod,Lourdes and part of Naga

Team 3 – for Putsan and Bolo

The province of Albay has been placed under state of calamity due to the onslaught of TD Usman
