A Palawan board member is pushing for a resolution seeking to increase the pension of senior citizens.

Board Member Leoncio Ola authores a resolution asking the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) to hike the Monthly Local Social Pension of indigent senior citizens.

Currently, the PSWDO provides P250.00 monthly for qualified beneficiaries.

Board Member Ola said that the monthly pension of the senior citizens is not enough for their needs, specially amid the rising prices of commodities.

The said resolution has been forwarded to the Committee on Appropriations for its recommendation.
