Naga City grants P1M cash assistance to CamSur towns hit by TD Usman
The Naga City Council has approved an ordinance granting P1 million cash assistance to other Camarines Sur local governments affected by Tropical Depession Usman.
Vice Mayor Nelson Legacion said that such move shows that “Naga cares” for their Bicolano brothers who were affected by the recent calamity.
“Naga cares! We care! ☺
In a special session yesterday, SP Naga passed Ordinance No. 2019-001 appropriating P1Million as assistance for our brethren in Camarines Sur who were adversely affected by typhoon Usman,” VM Legacion said.
The Vice Mayor said that the said resolution was “immediately approved” by Mayor John Bongat.
The said financial aid will be sourced from the calamity funds of Naga City.
Meanwhile, Legacion led the delivery of sacks of rice today for for families affected by TD Usman in Brgy. Patitinan, Sañgay, CamSur pursuant to the Ordinance No. 2019-001.
“May our assistance help ease their pain. With me were Councilors Cecilia Veluz De Asis, Salvador del Castillo and aspiring Councilors Jose Perez and Ghiel Rosales as well as CSWDO head Mrs. Annabel Vargas,” said Legacion.
