CamSur Gov. Villafuerte tells mayors to ensure all health officers are on board
Camarines Sur Governor Miguel Villafuerte has ordered all the local government unit chiefs to ensure that their health officers are on board.
The order, which took effect yesterday, December 31, 2018, said that it is part of the post disaster health measure of the province.
“In view of the damages brought about by Typhoon Usman to the Province of Camarines Sur and as part of the implementation of post-disaster health action and measures, please ensure that all your respective Municipal Health Officers and RHU staff are on board effective December 31, 2018 and even on succeeding holidays,” the order read.
The province of CamSur was also placed under state of calamity as Tropical Depression Usman battered the Bicol Region.
Villafuerte said the order serves as an anticipation of any outbreaks amid heavy rains and flooding.
“This is in anticipation of possible disease outbreaks to our people and to address other health related concerns,” read the order.
The PAGASA said that the weather in Camarines Sur is “more likely to be fair up within this week, except for isolated light rains which will be brought about by Northeast Monsoon.”
