Oriental Mindoro Gov. Umali recognizes local tourism stakeholders

Oriental Mindoro Governor Alfonso Umali Jr. recognized the community-based tourism and livelihood organizations a d other local tourism stakeholders in the province.

Provincial Tourism Investment and Enterprise Development Officer Orlando B. Tizon and Supervising Tourism Operations Officer Dr. Don Stepherson V. Calda joined Umali during the ceremony.

The ceremony included the Local Tourism Stakeholders Excellence Award (LTSEA), Byaheng OrMin Tourism Challenge and Galing Mindoro, Galing Mindoreño award.

“Ang Local Tourism Stakeholders Excellence Award (LTSEA), Byaheng OrMin Tourism Challenge at Galing Mindoro, Galing Mindoreño ay ilan lamang sa mga pamamaraan ng Provincial Government of Oriental Mindoro upang bigyang parangal at pagkilala ang mga natatanging kaagapay ng Kapitolyo sa larangan ng Turismo at Enterprise Development na may malaking ambag sa pag-angat ng turismo sa lalawigan,” said the provincial government

2nd Runner-up – San Juan Rural Improvement Club (RIC), Victoria
1st Runner-up – Kababaihan Samahan na Gumagawa sa Pangkabuhayang Itinataguyod (KASAGPI), Victoria
Champion – Samahang Nagtataguyod ng Kabuhayan (SANAKA), Calapan City

Byaheng OrMin Tourism Challenge

Cluster 1 – Sama-samang Nagkakaisang Pamayanan ng Silonay, Calapan City
Cluster 2 – Fortuna Livelihood Association, Socorro

Destination Stewardship Award – Kabuhayan at Kalikasan para sa Mamamayan ng Barangay Lazareto (KAKAMBAL), Calapan City
Excellence in Sustainable Tourism Award – Puerto Galera Mangrove Conservation and Ecotourism Area Management Council (PGMCEAMC).

The said ceremony was spearheaded by the Provincial Tourism, Investment and Enterprise Development Office.
