Mayor Barracoso proves he’s serious in solving Coron’s environmental issues

Mayor Jerry Barracoso proved anew that he is serious and hands on in tackling environmental issues in Coron.

Mayor Barracoso personally edits the position of paper of Coron regarding key environmental issues to be submitted to the Department of Environment and Natural Resources.

“Personal na inedit ni Mayor Jerry ang position paper ng LGU hinggil sa mga environmental issues ng Coron sa DENR na ngayon ay kasalukuyan nilang pinag-uusapan sa Puerto Princesa kasama ang mga Regional Directors ng DENR, DILG, DOT, PCSD at Province,” the Mayor’s office said.

The city government earlier said they have local executive who is “hands on, has a deep understanding of the issues at hand and has a broad knowledge and wisdom to defend, protect and promote our Municipality.”

Mayor Barracoso earlier urged his constituents to work together so that Coron would not suffer the same fate as Boracay.

“Para hindi po maipasara ang Coron, tulong tulong po tayo sa pagtapon ng ating basura ng tama. Tapat mo linis mo. Gawin po natin ang ating responsibilidad bilang isang Coronian. Iisa lang po ang Coron kaya ingatan natin ito,” the Mayor said.

“Maraming maraming salamat po sa lahat ng nakiisa sa isinagawang sabayang paglilinis..Nakikiusap po ako sa aking mga kababayan na panatilihin ang kalinisan sa ating bayan at ugaliin ang paglilinis ng ating Barangay araw araw,” it added.
