Oriental Mindoro Gov. Umali attends peace and order meeting in Davao City

Oriental Mindoro Goveror Alfonso Umali, Jr. attended the Joint National Peace and Order Council (NPOC) and 4th Regional Peace & Order Council (RPOC) Clusters Meeting in Davao City.

The said gathering was held at the The Ritz Hotel at Garden Oases, Davao City and led by Interior Secretary Sec. Eduardo Año

Año serves as the Chairperson of the NPOC.

Also present during the event were the LRPOC Chairpersons at Vice Charipersons.

Umali sits as chairperson of the MIMAROPA RPOC Oriental Mindoro, while the Vice Chairperson PRO MIMAROPA is Regional Director PCSUPT Tomas Apolinario Jr.

Also in attendance was National Security Council Director General Hermogenes Esperon.

“Inilahad ng mga Regional Peace and Order Council Chairpersons/Vice Chairpersons mula sa Luzon, Visayas at Mindanao ang mga nagawa ng kani – kanilang konseho para sa taong ito kaugnay sa pagpapanatili ng kapayapaan at kaayusan,” said Umali.

“Ibinahagi rin nila ang kanilang 2018 development initiatives kung saan bawat rehiyon ay binigyan ng sampung minuto para sa presentasyon,” he added.

“Kabilang sa mga ibinahagi ng mga ito ang tagumpay ng kampanya laban sa illegal na droga at kriminalidad sa kanilang rehiyon. Maliban dito, iniulat rin nila ang mga hakbang ng konseho kontra insurgency at terrorism,” said the Governor.
