Albay Governor Al Francis Bichara has warned his constituents over “malicious” Facebook accounts trying to malign his name.
Bichara issued statement telling Albayanos be cautious with fake Facebook accounts using his name.
“Once again, malicious people are trying to malign Gov. AL Francis Bichara’s good name,” said Bichara.
“Several FAKE FACEBOOK ACCOUNTS using his name are being reported. Please be cautious with these accounts as they are spreading defamatory posts and fake news,” he said.
The governor asked his constituents to report them to Facebook and block them if they come across these accounts online.
“We would like to remind the public, specially the good people of Albay, that there are only TWO OFFICIAL social media accounts owned by Governor Al Francis Bichara. These official accounts all aim to inform Albayanos of the various activities, projects and programs of the Province,” said the governor.
“We also would like to thank everyone who has been diligent in immediately reporting and blocking the said fake accounts,” he added.
