Negative! Occidental Mindoro top gov’t officials undergo drug testing

POLITIKO - The bible of Philippine Politics.
In lieu of their “lead by example” principle, top leaders of Occidental Mindoro province have undergone a voluntary drug testing.
Rep. Josephine Ramirez Sato, Governor Mario Gene Mendiola, and Vice Governor Peter Alfaro underwent a drug testing last week and it yielded negative results.
The officials took the drug test to show their support to the intensified campaign of President Rodrigo Duterte against the proliferation of illegal narcotics.
“The United Dream Team of OkSi supports the Anti Narco-Politics Drive of President Duterte,” Sato’s office said.
“OkSi leaders led by Cong. Nene Sato, Gov. Mario Gene Mendiola and Vice Gov. Peter Alfaro underwent voluntary drug testing at the provincial capitol supervised by the PDEA MIMAROPA,” it added.
Rep. Sato said that Occidental Mindoro officials alwayd uphold the “highest standards” for public office.
“We lead by example and always uphold the highest standards for public office and service. Your United Dream Team of OkSi is drug free!,” said Sato.
Rep. Sato filed her certificate of candidacy last week for her third and last term as congresswoman. She is running under the Liberal Party.
Sato previously served as governor of Occidental Mindoro for three terms.
