Palawan board member seeks financial assistance for fishermen

A Palawan provincial board member wants to extend help to fisherfolk that have been hit by recent storms and heavily affected by high inflation rate.

Board Member Clarito Demaala said that fishermen feel the brunt of soaring prices of commodities and their livelihood is always threatened by calamities.

Board Member Demaala said that the financial assistance is meant to aid the fishermen in times of calamities.

“We are ready to help them, and we’re helping them through this small kind po ng pagbibigay ng maliliit na pondo para sa livelihood nila, or any other means of help po is very much welcome sa maliliit na mangingisda,” said Board Member Demaala.

Demaala, with his resolution, wants to make the fishermen a priority of the provincial government as they play an important role in the economy of entire Palawan.
