The Palawan provincial government has distributed Solar Home System Units to beneficiaries in Bataraza town last September 12 to 15.

Engr. Ricardo D. Rodriguez, Executive Asst. I of Energy Development Program, said that the provincial government has so far distributed 4,573 units of new Solar Home System in 22 barangays in the said municipality.

Among the beneficiaries were Bgy. Bono-Bono, Bulalacao, Buliluyan, Culandanum, Igang-Igang, Inogbong, Malihud, Ocayan, Puring, Rio Tuba, Sandoval, Sapa, Sumbiling, Tabud, Tagnato, Tagolango, Taratak, and Tarusan.

Engr. Rodriguez was quoted as saying.

Other barangays such as Marangas, Malitub, Sarong, and Iwahig in the same town will get their respective Solar Home System once the beneficiaries are verified.

The Solar Home System Project is pursuant to the Palawan Energy Development Plan 2015-2035.
