Catanduanes Rep. Cesar V. Sarmiento has asked the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) to increase the Individual Medical Assistance Program (IMAP) allocation of the province.

Currently, the province of Catanduanes only receives P30,000 IMAP per day.

This prompted Sarmiento to formally ask for an increase of the medical assistance allocation of the province as the solon wrote a request letter addressed to PSCO General Manager Alexander Balutan.

Meanwhile, in his letter, Sarmiento said that record showed that there is an increase in PSCO revenues in the province from the second half of 2017 up to the first half of the year.

He also said that with the increase, “the PCSO will have greater coverage for my constituents who need access to funds for medical assistance.”
