The Calapan City council has tackled the proposed ordinance that seeks to regulate the digging and excavation of roads in the city.

Councilor Lorybelle Tanyag-Panaligan authored the proposed ” Ordinance regulating the digging and excavation restoration of roads within the territorial jurisdiction of the City of Calapan, prescribing the fees and penalties therefor.”

The city government said that the private and public excavations or restoration works on the road bring inconvenience to the motorists and riding public.

Present during the hearing were Engr. Redentor Reyes, City Zoning Adminstrator and Engr. Benjamin Acedera, City Engineering Department Officer.
