Naga City recognizes barangays with outsanding nutrition programs

The Naga City government has awarded the barangays that promote good nutrition during the culmination of the nutrition month last week.

This year’s nutrition month carries the theme “Ugaliing magtanim, sapat na nutrisyon aanihin!”

Ms. Arlene R. Reario, Regional Director of National Nutrition Council, served as the keynote speaker during the event held last July 26 at the Royale Emelina.

Also present during the 2018 Nutrition Awarding Ceremony was City Population and Nutrition Office headed by Ms. Tersita A. Del Castillo.

Mayor John Bongat personally awarded the plaques, trophies and cash prizes to all the winners.

The winners are:

Outstanding Barangay Nutrition Committee:

1st Place Barangay Sta. Cruz – P 100,000.00

2nd Place Barangay Concepcion Grande – P 70,000.00

3rd Place Barangay Sabang – P 40,000.00

4th Place – Barangay Pacol – P 20,000.00

5th Place – Barangay Igualdad – P 10,000.00

6th Place – Bagy. San Isidro – P 10,000.00

7th Place – Bgy. Bagumbayan Norte – P 10,000.00

8th Place – Bgy. Cararayan – P 10,000.00

9th Place – Bgy. San Felipe – P 10,000.00

10th Place – Bgy. Panicuason – P 10,000.00

Another highlight was the awarding of Regional Oustanding BNS to Ms. Liezel Mapa, the city government said.

Other special awards also were given to the top performing BNS.
