Gov. Umali holds dialogue with LTFRB to discuss Oriental Mindoro’s transport issues
Oriental Mindoro Governor Alfonso Umali Jr. has continued to reach out with the Land Transportation and Franchising Regulatory Board (LTFRB) to discuss the inadequate number of vans in the province.
The Oriental Mindoro Transport Summit was supposed to be held in the province yesterday but was postponed to a later date.
Instead, Gov. Umali held a dialogue with the LTFRB to relay the issues of the transport groups and other stakeholders in the province.
Umali said that although there are vans plying the streets of Oriental Mindoro, they are still not enough.
“Bagaman may regular na bumabyahe at existing van dito kulang na kulang pa rin,” he said.
Meanwhile, the PDRRMO said that there is still no specific date for the Oriental Mindoro Transport Summit but it will be held after the State of the Nation Address of the President this July 23, as per the recommendation of the LTFRB.
