Lamang tayo sa suntok! Sto. Domingo, Albay Mayor Herbie Aguas cheers on Gilas players in brawl
Gilas Pilipinas may have scored low in points during its game with Australia, but at least the country’s players scored major punches when the game turned into a brawl, according to Sto. Domingo, Albay Mayor Herbie Aguas.
On Facebook, Aguas commented on the free-for-all that ensued during the the FIBA World Cup Asian qualifier at the Philippine Arena.
The tension between the two countries’ players proved too much to handle toward the end of the game with Australia leading the score, and things soon turned violent.
Aguas said Gilas at least got more punches than the Australian players, who he said probably never thought that the Filipino ballers would meet them head on in the fight.
“Lamang Gilas!! Sa Suntok!!! Hahaha Kala ng Australia D papagalg!!” he posted.
