Rep. Velasco meets with LTFRB chief Delgra to discuss Marinduque’s transport woes
Rep. Lord Allan Velasco has met with Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) Chairman Atty. Martin Delgra III last June 26 to discuss transport issues in Marinduque
Marinduque Rep. Velasco called on LTFRB Chairman Delgra “to discuss the problem of door-to-door vehicles plying the Manila-Marinduque route.”
Velasco and Delgra was able to discuss various issues and agreed to have a summit in the province soon to meet all concerned stakeholders.
“Many issues were tackled during the meeting, including passenger safety and convenience, transportation modernization and allowable routes for public utility vehicles (PUVs),” Velasco’s office said.
“Cong. Velasco and the LTFRB Chairman agreed to conduct a transportation summit in Marinduque with all the stakeholders to address their concerns,” it added.
The date of the transportation summit is yet to be announced.
A separate transportation summit is likewise slated in Oriental Mindoro this July to tackle transport woes in the province such as the franchises of UV express vans, Governor Alfonso Umali, Jr. has said.
