Nakakasawa na! Rep. Sarmiento, NAPOCOR chief discuss solutions to solve power outages in Catanduanes
Cantanduanes Rep. Cesar V. Sarmiento has met with National Power Corportation (NAPOCOR) President Pio Benavidez to discuss the solutions to power outages in the province.
Benavidez visited the province recently to face the consumers in Catanduanes who have been experiencing series of power interruptions for quite some time now.
Sarmiento, the chairman of House transportation committee, said that Catanduanes needs stable power supply.
To recall, an administrative complaint has been filed before the NEA against the officials of First Catanduanes Electric Cooperative, Inc. (FICELCO) over the alleged negligence in solving continuous power interruptions in the province.
Facing charges are FICELCO President Alexander Ang Hung, OIC General Manager Jonathan Valles, Directors Rudolfo Vargas, Arcenia Bernacer, Julian Soneja, Technical Services Department Francis Guianan, and Dispatch Officer Jose Barro, Jr.
According to the complaint, the alleged inaction even resulted to the approval of a Catanduanes Sangguniang Panlalawigan Resolution requesting the NEA to take over the operations of FICELCO last December.
