DENR, Coron LGU lead meeting on cleanliness, protection of Coron Bay

The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Task Force Coron has called for a meeting recently to tackle the cleanliness and protection of Coron Bay.

DENR Task Force Coron Head Engr Roman Legaspi and CENRO Eriberto Saños led the said meeting.

“Nagpatawag ng pulong sina DENR Task Force Coron Head Engr Roman Legaspi at CENRO Eriberto Saños upang talakayin ang ilan pang mga hakbangin sa paglilinis at pangangalaga ng CORON BAY,” the office of Coron Mayor Jerry Barracoso said.

“Sa pagpupulong na ito na dinaluhan ng DENR-EMB, Philippine Coast Guard, CATE, CTBA, TTCIA at ng LGU, nagbigay ng direktiba si Engr. Legaspi na kailangan nang tanggalin ang mga CR sa lahat ng bangka,” it added.

It was agreed during the meeting the establishment of comfort rooms in all island destinations for the tourists.

“Kinakailangang magkaroon na ng palikuran ang lahat ng island destinations para sa mga turista at bisita na pumupunta rito,” the office said.

It was also discussed that all those belonging to the tourism industry will orient their respective guests regarding the matter.

“Samantala, makikipag-ugnayan muli ang munisipyo sa mga may-ari o namamahala ng mga island destinations sa bagay na ito,” the office said

“Nauna nang pinulong ni Mayor Jerry ang pamunuan ng Kayangan Lake at iba pang destinasyon sa Coron Island nitong Abril para sa kalinisan at paglalagay ng mga palikuran sa isla,” it added.
