Walang tulay? Mercedes Councilor Charlie Villamarzo inspects proposed housing site
This is one housing site inspection that went well, probably because no rickety wooden bridges were involved.
Mercedes, Camarines Sur Councilor Charlie Villamarzo joined the inspection and site evaluation of the proposed relocation and resettlement site for those living on the shores of Mercedes, which is considered a danger zone and a high-risk area.
The Mercedes government intends to purchase the 8-hectare land and convert it into a residential zone, one where occupants are safe from storm surges.
The new housing site is a testament to the local government’s commitment to protect and uplift Mercedes residents, especially the poor and most vulnerable, according to Villamarza’s Facebook page.
For sure, it’s not just the residents who would be safe in this new relocation site, but the officials visiting it as well!
