Welcome to the legal profession! Oriental Mindoro Rep. Umali congratulates 2017 bar passers

Oriental Mindoro Rep. Reynaldo V. Umali has welcomed the newly minted lawyers to the legal profession.

Umali, the chairman of the House justice committee, congratulated the 1,724 who hurdled the 2017 Bar examinations.

The solon also congratulated the daughter of House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez, Atty. Anna Alvarez.

“I would like to extend my warmest congratulations to the passers of the 2017 Bar Examinations, most especially to the beloved daughter of Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez, Atty. Anna Alvarez,” he said.

“As a lawyer myself and the current chairman of the House Committee on Justice, I hope that I have served my purpose of setting good examples in the legal profession and making a difference in the legislative branch of our government,” added Umali.

The Oriental Mindoro solon said that he looks forward to the day that the new members of the legal profession work together to improve the administration of justice in the country.

“I look forward to the day that we can work together in bringing reforms to the criminal justice system of our country. Godspeed, my new compañeros and compañeras!,” he said.

A total of 25.55% passed the 2017 Bar examinations. Mark John Simondo of University of St. La Salle in Bacolod topped the bar with a grade of 91.05%
