This is one rescue operation that won’t have anyone declared persona non-grata.

Occidental Mindoro Rep. Josephine “Nene” Ramirez-Sato has helped bring home overseas Filipino Worker Jonalyn Arriola from Egypt.

On Facebook, Sato shared that Jonalyn is now with her family after they sought her help in bringing her home. This was after her employment in Egypt met with some complications.

Sato worked with the Department of Foreign Affairs and the Philippine Embassy in Egypt to help Jonalyn fix her papers so that she could return to the Philippines.

Sato thanked DFA Sec. Allan Peter Cayetano, Usec. for Migrant Workers Affairs Sarah Lou Y. Arriola, Usec. for Administration Linglingay F. Lacanlale, Asec. Grace R. Princesa and Phil. Ambassador to Egypt Leslie Baja for helping bring Jonalyn safely home.

And this was done without a video of it going viral on the internet!

DFA Sec. Allan Peter Cayetano, Usec. for Migrant Workers Affairs Sarah Lou Y. Arriola, Usec. for Administration Linglingay F. Lacanlale, Asec. Grace R. Princesa and Phil. Ambassador to Egypt Leslie Baja.

Muli, Maraming Salamat po!” Sato posted on Facebook.
