Walang personal na interes! Oriental Mindoro Rep. Umali: I just want better lives for Mindoreños

Oriental Mindoro Rep. Umali said he wakes up everyday with one goal in mind: to make a difference in the lives of Mindoreños.

Umali, also the chairman of the powerful House committee on justice, said that he wants to improve the lives of his constituents as he performs his mandate to serve them.

“Pagbabago. Ito ang aking nais para sa aking bayan at kapwa Mindoreno. Araw-araw ako ay bumabangon para gampanan ang aking tungkulin na maghatid ng kaunlaran at pagbabago sa inyo,” said Umali.

“Ang lahat ng mga programa at proyektong aking pinapatupad ay para sa inyong lahat, para sa pag-angat ng inyong buhay,” he added.

The solon said that he just works for the people put him in public office.

“Wala itong halong personal na interes,” he declared.

Meanwhile, in a separate but related development, Umali is pushing for a community-based eco-tourism for the fisherfolk sector in the province.

“Ang mga mangingisda ang isa sa pinakamahirap na sektor hindi lamang sa ating lalawigan kundi sa buong Pilipinas kaya’t ako po ay umisip ng paraan kung paano sila matutulungan,” said Umali.

“At isa pong community-based eco-tourism project sa Brgy. Anilao sa Bongabong ang aking naisip na paraan upang matulungan sila at kanilang mga pamilya na halos lahat ay kabilang sa 4P’s program,” he added.

“Ang Anilao Eco-Village ay may layuning makapagbigay ng solusyon sa kahirapan sa pamamagitan ng agri-tourism livelihood programs,” he also said.

Umali is one of the 20 personalities being eyed by the ruling party PDP-Laban to field in the 2019 senatorial elections.
