Four new hospitals in Palawan to open in June, provincial gov’t says
Four new hospitals in Palawan are expected to be opened in June, the provincial government said.
The said hospitals are Roxas Medicare Hospital, Narra Medicare Hospital, Rizal Medicare Hospital, and Southern Palawan Provincial Hospital in Brooke’s Point town.
“Ang bawat ospital na nabanggit ay mayroong kumpletong pasilidad at pinondohan ng P80 milyon ng Department of Health (DOH) katuwang ang Pamahalaang Panlalawigan ng Palawan sa inisyatibo ni Gob. Jose Ch. Alvarez at Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP),” the provincial government said.
Engr. Saylito M. Purisima, chief of the Infrastructure Sector of the IHELP program of the provincial government, that the said hospitals will have a soft opening in May polish the things need to be fixed before its official opening.

“Aniya, sa kanilang pagtataya ay 80% nang natatapos ang bagong Cuyo Medicare Hospital. Bagaman hindi pa natatapos ang kabuoang ospital ay nagagamit na ang ibang bahagi nito sa pagbibigay ng serbisyong pangkalusugan,” said the province.
To recall, the Aborlan Medicare Hospital was opened last year and part of the Culion General Hospital has also been rehabilitated.
“Samantala, mayroon namang 6 na karagdagang ospital na isasagawa ang Pamahalaang Panlalawigan para sa mga bayan ng San Vicente, El Nido, Dumaran-Araceli, Bataraza, Balabac at Rizal,” said the province.
