Calapan City seeks expansion of Gold Card benefits
The Calapan City is considering to expand the benefits covered by the Gold Card program, the flagship social and human development project of the city.
Just recently, City Councilor Mylene de Jesus, SP Committee Chair on Health, led the hearing on the proposed ordinance expanding the coverage of the said Gold Cards.
The proposed ordinance is titled “An Ordinance Expanding the Coverage and Benefits of the City Socialized Medical Health Program for Qualified Residents of the City of Calapan, Amending Resolution No. 430, City Ordinance No. 13-08 and for other Purposes.”
“Sa ilalim ng ordinansa ay kabilang na rin sa benipisyo ang libreng labotary examinations tulad ng CT Scan, ECG, 2d Echo at MRI,” the City Council said.
In November last year, the city launched the Maintenance Medicine for Senior Citizens and Persons with Neurologic Problems.
“Sa kasalukuyan ay binabalangkas na rin kung paanong maisasama sa benipisyo ng mga pasyente ang libreng bayarin para sa screening ng bawat bag ng dugo na kakailanganin,” the City said.
Present during the hearing were Atty. Adel Abas, City Administrator, Dr. Ma. Teresita Bolor, City Health Program Manager, Ms. Julie Paduada, Socialized Medical Health Card Officer and Mr. Edgardo Basilan, City Accountant .
