Calapan City holds love, marriage, and courtship seminar for high school students

As part of the Marriage Week Celebration in Calapan, Councilor Farrah Fay Ilano spearheaded a seminar on love, courtship, and marriage among high school students in the city.
The seminar was conducted in Nag-Iba National High School last Feb. 8 and was attended by 183 grade 10, grade 11 and grade 12 students.
Ilano, chair of the Committee Chairman on Women, Children and Family in the city council, is the author of the ordinance that declares Feb. 7 to 14 as Marriage Week in Calapan.
“Apat na Pastor na sina Pastor Edgar Bueno, Pastor Joel Capio, Pastor Abe Latonero at Pastora Evelyn Gregory ang nagbigay ng lecture/seminar ng sabay-sabay sa may kabuuang 183 mga estudyante sa apat na silid paaralan ng Nag-Iba National High School,” the city said.
“Dito ay ibinahagi ng mga nasabing lecturer ang kahalagahan ng tunay na pag-ibig o pagmamahal ng bawat tao sa kanyang opposite sex, ang paghanga, ang panliligaw at ang pagpapakasal o pag-iisang dibdib,” it added.
The said seminar aims to open the eyes of the youth in the true essence of love and family.
“Layon ng nasabing school seminar sa mga nasabing paksa ang maimulat sa mga estudyanteng kabataan ang diwa ng tunay na pagmamahal na siyang magbubuklod sa pagbuo ng isang huwarang Pilipinong pamilya at upang mailayo ang mga kabataang estudyante sa early marriage o maagang pag a asawa ng walang plano at kahandaan,” the city said.
The pastors also emphasized the importance of making God as the center o a relationship to strenthen the foundation of family relationships.
