CamSur sends augmentation team in Albay to adopt two evacuation centers
True to his promise, Camarines Sur Governor Miguel Villafuerte has sent an augmentation team in Albay to adopt two evacuations there.
The CamSur’s augmentation headed yesterday to Guinobatan, Albay to adopt evacuation centers where affected residents reside temporarily amid the continuous and unpredictable eruptive activities of Mt. Mayon.
“The team is composed of doctors, nurses, policemen, firemen, psychosocial therapists, and even a cultural group to entertain evacuees,” Governor Villafuerte said in his Facebook account.
“They are also bringing 2 ambulances, 3 lorry trucks, 2 trucks for firewoods, 2 trucks for relief goods, & 1 rescue truck,” he added.
Villafuerte said that the team will “take over” two evacuation centers, the Mauraro Elementary School and Mauraro High School for at least two weeks.
The said evacuation centers house over 3,000 individuals who fled their homes following the Mayon eruption.
Villafuerte said that their goal is to “uplift lives and enhance resilience” of their fellow Bicolanos.
The governor made the vowed of adopting evacuation center during the visit of President Rodrigo Duterte in Albay.
