Albay continues to receive donations, relief aid from other LGUs, organizations

The Province of Albay continues to receive relief assistance from various local government units in the country as well as from several organizations.

Albay Governor Al Francis Bichara personally received the donation of the Province of Isabela consisting of 1,000 sacks of rice for the evacuees affected by Mayon Volcano eruption.

PSWDO chief Eva Grageda joined Bichara in accepting the donation.

“In a phone call, Gov. Bichara thanked Isabela Governor Bojie Dy, for the generous assistance as the number of evacuees grow each day,” the provincd said.

Meanwhile, the Davao City has recently approved a measure setting aside P4.5 million financial aid for nine areas in Albay heavily affected by Mayon unrest.

Moreover, the Taguig City also gave P3 million worth of relief assistance to Albay recently.

Governor Bichara and Grageda also personally received donation from the Philippine Councilors League (PCL).

PCL’s donation is comprised of assorted relief goods like 100 sacks of rice, 100 boxes of Nissin Ramen, 50 boxes of Master Sardines Hot, and 278 boxes Crystal Clear Purified Bottled Waters.

“The people of Albay is grateful for PCL’s kind heart and generosity,” the province said.

Moreover, the Albay province also received the additional P50 million aid promised by President Rodrigo Duterte yesterday.

The province received a total of P70 million from Duterte and another P5 million fom PCSO.

“We will order a lot of sacks of rice. Yun lang ang gusto nila. Yung sustainability ng pagkain nila.” Governor Al Francis Bichara was quoted as saying.
