Walang kalimutan! AKO Bicol party-list continues to provide relief assistance to evacuees in Albay

The AKO Bicol party-list continues to provide services and relief efforts for its fellow Bicolanos who have been displaced due to the ongoing eruptive activities of Mayon Volcano.

The partylist’s representatives Rodel Batocabe, Alfredo A. Garbin, Jr. and Christopher S. Co hit the ground running as they facilitate relief efforts in various evacuation areas.

Ako Bicol party-list said that while their representatives do their legislative duties at the House of Representatives, the groundworks are not being forgotten.

“As we continue to work for better social services in the congress for disaster victims through sound crisis management measures, the groud work for Ako Bicol Party List continue as well to address the perils that the public encounter due to the intensifying activities of Mayon Volcano,” the party-list said.

Alert Level 4 remains in effect over Mt. Mayon. Volcanic eruptions over the past few days caused more than 84,000 individuals to flee their homes.

Reps.Garbin and Co personally facilitated the distribution of emergency relief packs to evacuees from Barangay Sua of Camalig, who are currently at Comun Elementary School as their temporary shelter.

“The operation is a commitment in partnership with Pilipinong may Puso Foundation, through Ms. Wen Velasco,” the party-list said.

Meanwhile, Rep. Batocabe personally distributed relief goods to the evacuees affected by the recent eruption of Mayon Volcano.

“Special thanks to Pilipinong May Puso Foundation, headed by Philanthropist Wen Velasco, wife of Rep. Lord Allan Velasco, for their generous contribution,” the party-list said.
