Calapan City council wants to beef up City Blood Council

The Sangguniang Panglungsod of Calapan wants to beef up its City Blood Council so that more residents could benefit from it.

The City Council of Calapan, led by Vice Mayor Gil Ramirez, conducted an assessment on the past activities of the City Blood Council to ensure that tblood bank has enough stocks.

“Upang higit pang mapataas ang bilang ng mga nag-aalay ng dugo at matiyak na may sapat na laang dugo (buffered stocks) para sa mga Calapeño ay pinangunahan nina Vice Mayor Gil, City Councilor Mylene de Jesus, SP Committee Chair on Health at ABC President Hector Africa ang ebalwasyon sa mga nakalipas na aktibidad ng City Blood Council,” the city council said.

Vice Mayor Ramirez also chairs the City Blood Council, which partnered with the Technical Working Group formed to assist in the Mobile Blood Donation Activities.

“Ang City Blood Council ay binuo at isinabatas upang epektibong matugunan ang pangangailangan ng mga Calapeño sa dugo sa panahon ng pangangailangan,” the City explained.

Also present during the meeting were representatives of the City Health and Sanitation Department Dra. Basilisa Llanto, Dr. Ritchen Merbert Del Mundo, Ms. Juvy Bahia, CSWD Officer, Ms. Lorieta Galicia, City Budget Officer, Mr. Raymond Garcia, DOH, Edmond Onal, CTID, Mr. Fernan Guavis, DepEd Calapan City, at Mr. Pearl Barbara Lee and Mr. Aljon Villas, CALSEDECO.

“Napagkasunduan sa pagpupulong na maipaabot sa distritong masasakop ng Blood Letting Activity ang naturang aktibidad dalawang linggo bago sumapit ang mismong araw ng pagsasagawa at maisama sa Expanded Benefit ng Gold Card ang pagiging libre sa anumang bayarin sa panahon ng pangangailangan ng dugo ang mga indigent patient,” the province said.

Meanwhile, Vice Mayor Ramirez said that he wants to ensure that the City Blood Council has enough funds for its operations and activities.
