Lagot! Calapan City council mulls revocation of franchise of erring tricycle drivers, operators

The days of erring tricycle drivers in Calapan City are numbered as the city council mulls penalty as severe as revoking their franchises against them.

The Calapan City Sangguniang Panglungsod recently held a public hearing to address complaints on tricycle drivers violating ordinances and tricycle being used in crimes.

The hearing was led by City Councilor Felix Flores, SP Committee on Public Safety and attended by Atty. Adel Abas, City Administrator and Mr. Nelson Aboboto, Public Safety Department Officer.

Meanwhile, if the tricycle and its driver should be found not guilty by the court, the franchise could be reinstated.

Meanwhile, the city council has set another hearing inviting tricycle operators to discuss the rules and regulations.
