Ditch the bancas? Occ. Mindoro officials hail new road that will finally allow people to reach a remote barangay through land travel

Occidental Mindoro officials are excited over the construction of a new road that leads to Barangay Alibog in Magsaysay.

This is because the road will allow people to reach the village through a land trip. Without this road, the primary mode of reaching the place is by banca.

The new road was funded through the initiative of Occidental Mindoro Rep. Josephine Ramirez-Sato and is expected to be completed before the end of the year.

The provincial board members inspected the road construction recently.

Perhaps they’re just excited that there would be no need to get their feet wet to reach the barangay next time!

“Inspection of construction of road leading to Barangay Alibog, Magsaysay. Before the end of the year, this road will be finished and the community will reach this barangay thru land, and not by banca anymore..

This project is funded thru the iånitiative of Cong. Josephine Ramirez-Sato,” the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Occidental Mindoro posted on Facebook.
