One pasabog at a time! Legazpi mayor explains cancellation of Ginebra-NLEX game in Legazpi

The scheduled game of basketball teams Ginebra and NLEX in Legazpi City, Albay on February 3 was expected to be an explosive one.

But it had to be canceled because Mayon Volcano is busy with her own explosive show, according to Legazpi Mayor Noel Rosal.

Rosal said the PBA management decided to postpone the game because Albay has been placed under a state of calamity.

Safety is also the city’s primary concern, he said. It does not feel right for Legazpi to be enjoying the basketball game while other parts of Bicol are affected by the volcanic eruption, he added.

But the politiko also said basketball fans need not worry. There are plenty more opportunities for them to enjoy a bombastic game!
