There is life after prison! Naujan govt teaches inmates new skills
Inmates in Naujan are not in a dead end.
The Najuan local government, led by Mayor Mark Marcos, is teaching prisoners new skills such as fixing motorcycles and other small engines.
According to the mayor, this helps gives inmates something to do while in detention and would also equip them with new skills that they can use to start a new life when they get out.
This only goes to show that it’s not too late to change!
“Isang skills training (Overhaul Motorcycle/Small Engine) para sa mga kababayan nating mga bilanggo ang pinagtulungang maisakatuparan ng Pamahalaang Bayan,Naujan Technical College,TESDA at Bureau of Jail Management and Penology upang magkaroon sila ng pagkakaabalahan at mabigyan sila ng kaalaman na maaari nilang magamit paglabas ng kulungan,” the mayor posted.
