CamSur. Rep Bordado: Development means empowering women
An effective development is one which empowers women, Camarines Sur 3rd district Rep. Gabriel Bordado believes so.
That is why the Camarines Sur solon has been active in conducting dialogues with the leaders Lakas ng Kababaihan, a women’s group based in Naga City.
The Lakas ng Kababaihan is an organization founded by no less than Vice President Leni Robredo in 1992.
Rep. Bordado’s succeeded Robredo as CamSur Third District congressman.
Lakas ng Kababaihan provides livelihood training and opportunities for women, which started in Naga City and now has active chapters in other CamSur municipalities as well.
“POWER OF WOMEN: I have been conducting dialogues with the leaders of LAKAS NG KABABAIHAN (a grassroots organization founded by VP Leni Gerona Robredo in 1992) in the various barangays of the 3rd District of Camarines Sur…,” said Rep. Bordado.
The first-time congressman also said that he “firmly” believes in the concept that: “THERE IS NO TOOL FOR DEVELOPMENT MORE EFFECTIVE THAN THE EMPOWERMENT OF WOMEN.”
