Naga Mayor Bongat, Australian bishop inspect ongoing housing project in Brgy. Isidro

Naga City Mayor John Bongat has inspected yesterday the ongoing second phase of the city’s housing program together with a Australian bishop.
The mayor said that he toured the Maronite Bishop from Sydney, Australia together with Maronites of the Philippines represented by Dr. Joseph Bichara.
According to the mayor, he showed tge Maronites Order of Australia and the Maronites Order of the Philippines will be partnering with the city government for a development of a new housing project.
“INSPECTED THE ONGOING PHASE 2 of our City’s Employees’ Housing project in Brgy. Del Rosario, and met with the Maronite Bishop from Sydney, Australia,” Mayor Bongat said in his Facebook account.
The mayor added that the planned housing project will be constructed in Barangay Isidro.
The beneficiaries of the housing project will be those families who will be displaced once the existing Balatas dump site is ordered closed.
He said that said families, estimated to he around 200, belong to the informal waste sector.
“I showed to them our said project because the Maronite Order of Australia, together with the Maronites of the Philippines represented by Dr. Joseph Bichara, will be partnering with the city government and the MOP for the development of a new housing project in Brgy San Isidro for the more than 200 families belonging to the informal waste sector, who will be displaced in view of the closure of the existing Balatas dump site,” said Mayor Bongat.
