CamSur province holds gift-giving party for kids in sugarcane communities

The provincial government of Camarines Sur has brought joy to the children of a sugarcane communities in the province through its annual gift-giving party.
Children from Brgy. Tinangis and Bagong Sirang were the beneficiaries of the party organized by several government agencies and a private company.
The event was spearheaded by the Provincial Government, Department of Labor and Employment and the PENSUMIL.
“To bring joy to children in our communities in the sugar cane industry in Brgy. Tinangis and Bagong Sirang in Pili, the Provincial Government, DOLE and PENSUMIL organized a gift-giving party,” the province said.
During the event, the children also received food packs, toys and groceries.
The fun never stopped there as the well-loved Jollibee mascot entertained the kids and a magician played tricks for them.
“Apart from receiving 250 food packs, toys and groceries, the kids enjoyed the gift-giving party further when the Jollibee mascot and the Magician visited and performed for them,” the province said.
“This activity is annually conducted by DOLE and the Provincial Government of Camarines Sur,” it addes.
Just recently, the province also held the OFW/Migrants’ Workers day to hail the country’s modern day heroes.
The tribute was not just for the OFWs but for their children and families as well as gifts were given to the latter.
“Over 100 toys were given to the kids of our OFWs. Attendees also received food packs during the said family day,” the province said.
