Dry feet all the way! Odiongan Mayor Trina Fabic celebrates new footbridge

It’s good to know that Odiongan, Romblon’s taxes are put to good use.

Mayor Trina Fabic is elated over the construction of a new footbridge in Sitio Sigkop, Brgy Tuguis Este that allows residents to cross a river safely, without needing to get into the water or getting stranded by rising water levels.

Fabic is especially pleased that the children who have to cross the river to go to school would have an easier time navigating their way.

On Facebook, she noted that the footbridge was built through the 20 percent development fund of the town. She also thanked barangay officials for coordinating with her for the project.

This is better than a gift from Santa!

“Ito na po ang pinagawang footbridge sa Sitio Sigkop, Brgy Tuguis Este kung saan nakakatawid na ang mga tao sa suba at kweba na hindi sila nababasa o naiistranded kahit mataas ang tubig. Hindi na malalagay sa peligro ang mga batang papuntang eskwelahan. Ang pondo ay mula sa 20% Development Fund ng Munisipyo para sa taong 2017. Salamat sa pakikipagtulungan ng mga opisyales ng barangay.Magkakaroon na rin ng kuryente sa 3 sitios ng Este: Sigkop, Tuburan at Macalang. Sinimulan nang itayo ang mga poste ng kuryente. Salamat sa tulong ng TIELCO at NEA.Salamat din sa DOLE sa 500k na grant para magkaroon ng solar units business ang Sigkop Solar Association na binubuo ng 52 na pamilya,”
