Regular ferry trip from Palawan to Kota Kinabalu to begin in February 2018

Starting February 2018, there will be a regular trip from Puerto Princesa to Malaysia, thanks to the the ferry service by the Archipelago Philippine Ferries Corp. (APFC).

“Ang Ferry Service na magseserbisyo sa rutang Buliluyan Port, Palawan – Kudat, Malaysia ay ang kompanyang Archipelago Philippine Ferries Corporation (APFC) na nakabase sa Maynila at siyang nagmamay-ari ng sasakyang pandagat na Fast Cat na bibiyahe sa nabanggit na ruta simula Pebrero ng taong 2018,” the province said.

The Fast Cat Ferry, according to the provincial government, has the capacity to carry 275 passengers, 35 vehicles and 12 cars used to transport fright loads.

“Ang ferry ay aalis sa Buliluyan Port sa umaga at darating sa Kudat Port dakong tanghali at muling bibiyahe pabalik sa Palawan sa dakong hapon,” said the province.

“Ang pag anunsyo sa bubuksang ruta ay naganap sa pulong sa Kota Kinabalu na pinangunahan ni Kudat Assemblyman at Special Tasks Minister Datuk Seri Teo Chee Kang at dinaluhan nina Palawan Governor Jose Chaves Alvarez at BIMP-EAGA Regional Chairman Datuk Roselan Juhar at mga matataas na opisyales ng Sabah Ports Sdn Bhd at Suria Capital,” the province added.

The two ports have CIQS (Customs, Immigration, Quarantine and Security) centers which will process the documents of the passengers/

“Inaasahan na ang bagong ruta ng barko mula Buliluyan Port, Palawan patungong Kudat Port, Malaysia ay lalong magpapasigla sa industriya ng turisto sa pagitan ng Palawan at Kota Kinabalu,” the province said.
