Palawan Governor Jose Chavez Alvarez has presented the status various projects undertaken by his administration when he delivered his speech during the first ever Inclusive Developmeny Summit in the province.

During the event, the governor said that he wants inclusive development for everyone across all political party lines.

The provincial government of Palawan held the first ever Inclusive Development Summit on Dec. 18 with the purpose of finding solutions to eradicate the poverty in the province.

The summit was attended by more than 500 Barangay Gender and Development (GAD) Monitors and representatives from Indigenous Peoples from different local government units in Palawan.

The governor also touted during his speech that four hospitals will be opened next year in four local government units.

The governor said also revealed the implementation of infrastructure projects such as water facilities and road improvement projects.

Alvarez said that around 1,500 kilometers of road projects are up for completion. “Tapusin natin yan bago magtapos ang termino upang ito ay magamit natin dito sa tinatawag nating inclusive growth,” the governor said.

He added that a 600-kilometer Six Lane Superhighway project of the national government has started construction in the province. Alvarez also revealed that two airports will be built.

The governor also said that poverty incidence dropped in the province since 2013.

‘Yan pong lahat ang inihahanda natin,” the governor said.
