Naga Mayor Bongat: Half-day work on December 22, 29 for city hall employees
In line of the celebration of holidays, Naga City Mayor John Bongat has issued a memorandum declaring a half-day work on December 22 and December 29 for City Hall employees.
Mayor Bongat said that he wants to give the city hall employees a “full opportunity” to enjoy the Yuletide season with their loved ones.
“In order to give employees of the Naga City Government full opportunity to celebrate the holidays with their families and loved ones, all are advised that work in the Naga City Government is ordered suspended from 12:00 noon of 22 December 2017 and 29 December 2017,” the memorandum read.
Meanwhile, not all employees are included in the memorandum such as those involved in public order and safety.
“However, those involved in the maintenance of peace and order, traffic enforcement, local treasury operations, disaster and risk reduction management, health and sanitation, Central Bicol Station Operation, Naga City Abattoir Operation and solid waste management services shall continue with their operations and render the necessary services,” the memorandum added.
Mayor Bongat issued the said memorandum today, December 18.
President Rodrigo Duterte has already declared December 26 and January 2 as special non-working holidays for government employees nationwide.
