No reindeer and sleigh, but VP Leni Robredo plays santa to urban poor family

POLITIKO - The bible of Philippine Politics.
Vice President Leni Robredo spread some holiday cheer in an urban poor community in Marikina.
Robredo visited Nanay Tessie Adorna in her makeshift home in Marikina, and together with her partner organizations, she provided her with groceries, hygiene kits, and shelter assistance to help meet some of her family’s necessities.
The VP also took time to chat with Nanay Tessie to know about her daily struggles.
She may not be Santa, but the Vice President was able to help ease Nanay Tessie’s burden and make her feel the Christmas spirit!
“This morning, I met Nanay Tessie Adorna of Brgy. Tumana in Marikina City, who lives in a makeshift house by the covered court with her family. Our talk was brief, but she spoke about her everyday struggles—one that many of our kababayans in urban poor communities go through as well.Hoping to ease some of their burden in our small way, my team and our #AngatBuhay partners DAMPI, Alitaptap, and PAPPI, turned over groceries, hygiene kits, and shelter assistance. We hope this makes Christmas better for Nanay Tessie and her family. Many thanks to our partners, as well as to Kap. Zif Ancheta and Cong. Miro Quimbo for joining us this morning,” she posted.
