Classes in all levels suspended in Naga City tomorrow – Mayor Bongat
Naga Mayor John Bongat has suspended the classes in all levels in the city tomorrow as a precautionary measure due to rains brought by the tropical depression Urduja.
“As a precautionary measure, CLASSES IN ALL LEVELS (PRE-SCHOOL, KINDERGARTEN, ELEMENTARY, JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL, SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL, TECHVOC, COLLEGE, INCLUDING GRADUATE SCHOOLS), IN BOTH PUBLIC AND PRIVATE INSTITUTIONS OF LEARNING, ARE HEREBY ORDERED SUSPENDED STARTING TOMORROW, THURSDAY, DECEMBER 14, 2017, until lifted through a subsequent issuance or bulletin,” the c Risk Reduction Management Council said in a bulletin.
Mayor Bongat, chairman of the CDRRMC, said that while no tropical cyclone warning signal has been raised yet, “pre-emptive measures are necessary.”
According to the CDRRMC Bulleting as of 6:00 pm today, tropical depression Urduja and the noertheast monson or amihan are expected to bring “occasionally moderate to heavy rains and thunderstorms” in Bicol and Eastern Visayas tomorrow.
