Palawan celebrates Juvenile Justice and Welfare Consciousness Week
More than 180 students, teachers and government employees in Palawan attended the celebration of 6th Juvenile Justice and Welfare Consciousness Week which carried the theme “Mapagkalingang Hustisya, Ugaliin at Pagtibayin.”
The Provincial Government of Palawan led the celebration of on November 29 held at the Victoriano J. Rodriguez Hall at the Capitol.
Students from Aborlan National High School, Palawan National School and Palawan State University-Laboratory High School attended the celebration, together with residents of Bahay Pag-asa Youth Center and Lualhati Women Center in Palawan.
Among the topics discussed were “HIV-AIDS: How it affects the Lives of the Youth at ang Teenage Pregnancy” by Dr. Louie R. Ocampo, Chief of Medical Professional of Ospital ng Palawan and “Implications of Drug Dependency” by Police Chief Inspector Grace Vic P. Gamboa ng PNP-Palawan.
Hayalee Joy Vicente-Estoya, Mental Health Professional of Ospital ng Palawan talked about the “Mental Health: Drug and Alcohol Dependency and Significance of One’s Self, Family, Friends and Community.”
“Bukod sa mga talakayan ay nagkaroon din ng munting kasiyahan at palaro para sa mga kabataan tulad ng photo booth, freedom wall, Palawan Henyo at charade,” the province of Palawan said.
