Palawan lauds successful participation in 3rd MIMAROPA Festival


The provincial government of Palawan has hailed the performance of the province’s delegates to the 3rd MIMAROPA Festival held in Romblon last week.

The province said that the participation of its contingent to the said festival was “successful.”

The province fielded Tribu Bitianon from Narra town in the street dancing competition. Occidental Mindoro won the competition followed by Puerto Princesa and Calapan.

“Nagpasalamat naman ang Pamahalaang Panlalawigan ng Palawan sa pamamagitan ng Provincial Tourism Promotions and Development Department sa Tribu Bitianon na kumatawan sa Palawan sa pangunguna ni Kapitan Ferrer Ernesto Jr. ng Bgy. Bato-Bato, Narra,” the province said.

Meanwhile, Palawan’s Rachel Lee Aniar won first runner up in Ginoo at Binibining MIMAROPA Festival 2017.

The MIMAROPA Festival was held in Odiongan Romblon from Nov. 20 to 25.

Occidental Mindoro will host next year’s MIMAROPA Festival, which aims to showcase the culture and boost the tourism of Region IV-B.
