Delegates from Palawan led by Vice Gov. Socrates join Hainan International Tourism Island Carnival
Delegates from Palawan led by Vice Governor Dennis Socrates joined the 18th Hainan International Tourism Island Carnival held in Hainan, China recently.
Fifteen performers from Palawan Dance Ensemble of the provincial government represented the country in the said festival last November 16 to 21.
“Ilan sa mga pinamalas na performance ng Palawan Dance Ensemble ang Cuyonon at Muslim Dances na pinuri at masiglang tinangkilik ng mga manonood kabilang ang mga bansang nakilahok sa aktibidad na kinabibilangan ng Croatia, Bulgaria Ireland at Malaysia,” the provincial government said in a statement.
The delegates also has the chance to showcase the tourist destinations in the province during the Hainan World Leisure Expo where the province had a booth.
“Ang pamahalaang lokal ng Hainan ang bumalikat sa lahat ng mga gastusin ng buong delegasyon habang sila ay nasa bansang Tsina maliban sa pamasahe ng 20-kataong delegasyon na sinagot ng pamahalaang panlalawigan ng Palawan,” the province said.
Ceasar Sammy G. Magbanua, Sweet Jonalyn Mata, City Councilor Matthew Mendoza and his wife Angelie Natasha Mendoza of the Palawan Tourism Council were also part of the Palawan contingent.
