Palawan’s PDRRMO strengthens capacity-building activities
The Palawan’s Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) said that it is strengthening its capacity building activities, particularly on water search operations.
In a consultative meeting held yesterday, Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) Officer-in-Charge Cruzalde B. Ablaña reported their efforts to have a better calamity and disaster response team.
“Ayon kay G. Ablaña, nitong huling bahagi ng taong kasalukuyan ay sunod-sunod ang pagsasagawa ng kanilang tanggapan ng mga pagsasanay tulad ng Water Search and Rescue (WASAR) na nilahukan ng iba’t ibang ahensiya na may kinalaman sa pagresponde sa karagatan,” the provincial government said.
Ablaña also said that the PDRRMO is also set to undergo training on Basic Life Support (BLS), Mountain Search and Rescue (MOSAR) and Incident Command System (ICS) and Contingency Planning Workshop.
Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officers from different local government units attended the said meeting.
